Countries are grouped into six categories:

  • No availability
  • Availability for ONE of following: key workers/ clinically vulnerable groups / elderly groups
  • Availability for TWO of following: key workers/ clinically vulnerable groups / elderly groups
  • Availability for ALL of following: key workers/ clinically vulnerable groups / elderly groups
  • Availability for all three plus partial additional availability (select broad groups/ages)
  • Universal availability

This interactive chart maps government policies on COVID-19 vaccination by broad age group.

Countries are grouped into four categories:

  • No availability
  • Availability for some individuals aged 16 years and older (this might be specific occupations, vulernable groups or older age groups)
  • Availability for everyone aged 16 years and older, but not for under-16s
  • Availability for under-16s. This may not include all under-16s. For example, it may only include those aged five years and older.

Vaccination eligibility by age

This interactive chart maps government policies on COVID-19 vaccination by age group. It shows the youngest age group in each country that is eligible to be vaccinated in the general population. Eligibility may differ for particular at-risk groups.
