The average greenhouse gas emissions of protein-rich food products based on a large meta-analysis of food production covering ~38,700 commercially viable farms in 119 countries. This is measured in kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalents (kgCO₂eq) per 100 grams of protein. Despite being a low-quality protein source, grains are shown since they are a key source of protein for a large share of the world's population.
