Age-standardized death rate from cardiovascular disease, measured per 100,000 individuals versus gross domestic product (GDP) per capita, measured in 2011 international-$. The age-standardized death rate measures the number of deaths per 100,000 individuals, corrected for age differences by normalising to a constant, reference population distribution.
